You Have 7 Months Left To Become The Coolest Person Of 2022
How to be and how to not be cool
My nieces and nephews think I am cool. That’s a start. That’s already four people.
The question is, what does it take to be cool?
(Beyond the distorted perception of your closest loved ones, whose job it is to consider you nothing else but cool?).
After all, don’t we all want to be cool?
There is something very cool about being cool. We all kind of aspire to it.
It is something positive. It is something people admire.
But let’s not kid ourselves. We are talking about some subjective concepts.
Obviously, the concept of “being cool” has varied and changing connotations and because of its subjective nature, the word has no single meaning.
Yet, there seems to be some general agreement on what characterizes a cool person, if that was way back in history (classic cool with the ancient Greek), or if we go back several decades (think James Dean), or just some years ago, or just some days ago (modern cool). No matter the time frame, there have always been humans, that were considered cool.
Basically, it comes down to this.
Coolness is a concept of attitude, behavior, comportment, appearance, and style which is generally admired.
Some common ground is that it has associations with composure and self-control and often is used as an expression of admiration or approval.
I consider a lot of people being “cool” and way more people rather being quite “un-cool”.
I am sure you feel the same.
But have you thought about why you look at some people thinking, THIS is a cool dude or a cool lady?
What makes you think that?
Coolness is behavior and a state of being
Although there is no single concept of cool, its definitions fall into a few broad categories.
One is behavioral characteristics. How you compose yourself and act with your body and voice.
