You Complain About The Very Things You Have In Your Hands To Improve
Kill 3 birds with one stone and change your life
--
As a kid, your mom told you to pay attention in school. At school, you were told to pay attention to the teacher and listen carefully. Finally, you are out in the world and can decide to pay attention to whatever the hell you want.
But you don’t.
I have noticed that the things people complain about almost always come down to a lack of paying attention.
Not enough time for the partner or friends, health issues, lack of well-being and happiness, feeling distracted and overwhelmed, and barely noticing what is happening around us.
Think about it.
You want to focus your attention on the thing you are working on to get it done and move on to the next task on your never-ending To Do list. You are annoyed when you get distracted by colleagues, meetings, and ding-dongs on your smartphone.
You feel out of shape and your immune system seems weak because you don’t pay attention to you what your body tells you. You don’t give yourself enough care.
Sometimes you feel alone or bad about not having a better relationship with your kid, partner, or elderly parent because you don’t pay attention to them, and you don’t make the time to take care of them.
You complain about being distracted, fat, and alone.
It comes down to these 3 important skills:
- Focusing
- Having situational awareness
- Caring
You can summarize this in two words: Paying Attention.
Developing Your Skill To GIVE ATTENTION Will Change Your Life.
When we talk about paying attention most of us think about focus, focusing our attention on something.
But this is very one-dimensional thinking.
There is much more to the magic of giving your attention.
“You become what you Pay Attention to … If you don’t decide for yourself to which thoughts and images you expose yourself to, someone else will.” —…
